"Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well."-Prov 5:15
(KJV)
Today was our day to fix the kitchen sink water. I guess Mtn Man got tired of seeing me walk back and forth between the laundry room sometimes the bathroom and the kitchen to wash dishes and such. He started with drilling holes through the laundry wall to the bathroom in front of the tub which involved a lot of drilling. Then from the bathroom to the kitchen which was no small task I am told, the wall in this part we think may have logs in it as it took lots of muscle to drill through a 14" wall. Final journey was through the cabinet to its destination under the kitchen sink. He tied the lines into the ones from the washer/dryer/deep utility sink in the laundry room. All these lines inside which you probably already figured out so we won't have any more problems with frozen pipes. This house was not made to live in just hunt out of!!!!

Old Old lines not sure why they did not use these any longer. New holes below for pipes. |

I am happy to have water flowing in the kitchen sink even if it is only for couple months.
We did go out and enjoy the sunshine a bit today. A little breezy but it was nice after all. We walked off our garden/orchard area and it looks like we will be mapping out an area about 60' x 70' for fencing. Some of the trees may end up out of this area but we shall see.

I hope to get the tiller out and see what the ground is like underneath all that grass. Spring cannot come soon enough. We were figuring it out today and we have already seen 3 mos of winter between here and Montana. We are so ready for SPRING!!!
Still no word on Mtn Man's leg surgery guess we will have to make some phone calls to see what's up.

Few realize how precious this is until they haul water. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteAmen sister!! When we lived in our cabin we hauled water and in the winter this is quite the task!!
DeleteHaving water access makes life so much better.
ReplyDeleteM : )
Yes Melinda I am so glad to have water back where it should be...thanks for stoppin by!
DeleteSuch a luxury! I remember years ago having to wash dishes in a "temporary" basement kitchen because we couldn't afford to get it piped upstairs. What a blessing!
DeleteYes Lisa we are fortunate to have water and not the city kind. Just this last weekend we stopped in a couple of places and they had "boil water" orders or "No water" on their doors not sure what that was about but glad we have our very clean well water.
