Adventures Of Our Life!

 I am stepping out in faith. See, I am proud to be a quilter. I love putting fabric together and making something beautiful. It is not Perfect but it does the job that it is intended for. Double wedding 2017 for clients Quilts bring comfort, warmth and joy to some. I can put the pieces together and pretty soon, out comes this quilt that one can admire. I have done the difficult to the easy! This one had the pieces already done...client brought this too me to finish for her. The ones I truly enjoy, are the memory quilts. T-shirt quilts or memorabilia quilts....it is kind of cool to put all the pieces together to get a wall hanging or a full quilt. This one I did in 2011.....just getting going then. Client sent me boxes of t-shirts, sweatshirts and scarves to make this huge king size quilt Handsewn by me out of my kids clothes that I had left! This one above is my therapy quilt I made over a November month way back when. Lots of tears, blood and sweat making tha...

We traveled down to Scott City yesterday to their local library and did a book signing! Had a blast! Our gracious host, Joyce made it painless! Then on our way home we ran into this crazy storm! The winds were hellacious! The damage here at home is minimal but I am to understand they had much worse East of here! Well onto the next adventure!! Copyright © 2018 M.E. June seems to be wettest we have had since we arrived here in Missouri! Multiple storms, passing one on top of the other. Dropping lots of water! Leaving a soggy mess in its wake!! Haven't been able to get into the garden to do anything. Too wet! Will be interesting to see what July brings. Tonight is my book signing at the library in Mountain Man's hometown. This crocheted afghan was made by my friends great grandmother. Best I can figure early 1900's as late as 1920-30 era. What a gift!! See she had no children so she has no one to pass it too. Her sister does not want it. Anybody that would care to have it, is gone. I love, love preserving our past! She knows this about me. I am so grateful! It needs a bit of cleaning and a couple spots to repair but for the most part it is in great shape considering how old it is. If anybody has any ideas as to age or pattern used....let me know! Today was sheep day! Doctored, wormed and tagged. The babies will remain untagged as they will head to sale when they are of age. Cleaned out the shed today too. Ugghhh that needed done desperately! We acquired a little rain yesterday. We have been getting afternoon storms blowing through. Sometimes it is just clouds, wind and thunder. While others come with rain.
