Are you a part of a women's group in your town? Or a part of a community group? I really have enjoyed joining different groups in town. I learn about the people as well as history and some skill that I may not have had in the past. Tonight is the Quilting Guild. This will be my second time there! We have had a busy week! Still going in fact...thought I would take a wee bit of a break to write ya! We started out the week with getting things cleaned up.  #1-Mtn Man and The Kid got the posts in the ground for my grape arbor. Cemented in so they will take a beating! #2- Then they went to work on getting the seat part in the out house. That takes some special doing to keep things in order when you are sittin on the throne. Sitting on it a few times to make sure it will hold some weight and is it wide enough for the big sitters. Steady enough for those who like to hang out a bit. Ya know, some serious contemplating on making sure it is the right size for all who visit! #3- I didn't mention the HEAT has been horrible around these parts!! Heat Index over 100 for days!! #4- Late afternoon yesterday we had a cool front come through.....so so nice!! #5- Today the guys, Mtn Man and Monkey Man, are getting to work on my She Shack! Wahoo!! Monkey Man threw a line in...

I don't know about you but I will not turn down goods that are FREE! My Inlaws brought us 4 banana boxes full of corn in the husks. Not all were good but we salvaged what we could. And we ended up removing the corn from the cob and canning them in pint jars. So grateful to my Mtn Man for helping me in this task. From peeling the corn out of the husk to removing the corn off the cob! Wonderful Man he is!! Results: 25 pints all together!! Yay!! I pack them raw as I don't believe they need to be cooked twice! Never had an issue ever!! Aren't they pretty? This was my first batch...the second is getting fired up in the caner now. And my little stove is working beautifully!! Mtn Man mentioned to me...says you know you start out saying how much work it is but then you get those jars out and the caner out and you are beaming from ear to ear! Never seen the like! My reply.... I love providing for my family! Even if it is just the two of us! Never know when we will be sha...

 Have lots to tell!! Few weeks back we found a brush hog on Craigslist. Now if ya knew me well, you would be shocked by that statement. I am not a FAN of CL!! But I am thinking the Lord had his hand in this direction. This unit was $300!! Homesteaders understand that anything that works and is a giveaway is a DEAL!! Mtn Man is pleased! No more shuffling of equipment from his Dad's to mow our fields! Next on his list is Hay Equipment! ****************************************************************** This last week we went on vacation. As some of you know, we haven't been on a vacation of any size in quite awhile! This one was in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. There we met up with the rest of my family and headed to the Big House we rented for the week! We had a ball!! We did manage to fit in an attraction and walk down the strip! This little fawn was just down the lane a bit. It got scared from it's spot where momma placed it after the hay equipment went through the field and again when I opened up the gate! Poor thing! Update to my blanket project that I started I think a YEAR ago! Ha ha Anyhoo, I did finally complete it! Yay!! My first crochet project complete!  I have made numerous attempts at completing a crochet project only to give up after getting frustrated! But this time I watched a Youtube video and with the help of my very patient mother in law I got it made!! so so happy! Now onto making Mtn Man one! Hopefully I won't take a year to make his. Joke is that his birthday comes in the spring maybe can have it done by then! ha ha Love hearing from ya!!!! I have had a few people say things like..Are you going to have a He Shack to match? Or where is his shed? Remember the shop... Enuf Said! The delivery was pretty cool! Wish I had brought my camera with me at the start of the drive, it is really tight. Note to selves: No bigger than 10 wide can come down that drive! I mean tight!! If he didn't have such a neat trailer I am afraid it would have taken longer for him to come down the drive. Let me tell ya about that trailer....every possible component on that trailer moved. It had an extra set of wheels that could move it from side to side which came in handy for the drive and setting the shed. He could extend the trailer from the tongue of it by remote no less, so there was only one time he moved the truck. We bought the blocks to go underneath the shed but he placed them. That came with the delivery charge. This is such wet country here that we put plastic under it too so tha...
