What does one do with their leftover freezer fruit? I had like 6 bags of berries and apple pie mix. So I made pies and cast iron pan cobbler. 3 pies baked and two pans worth. Now to sample the goods....which one first? The pies will get wrapped for future suppers and the extra cobbler will go into containers for freezer. Good rainy day project! Copyright © 2018 M.E. Woke to 34* out!! No gradual slide or should say very little....about a week and half into this season. Winter is coming quickly...... The sheep are soaking up the sun this morning....Friday 6 of the littles will be sold. The chicken are making a run for the woods...these youngin's are giving us eggs now. They are adventurous!! Argghhhh!! This last month we had a satellite upgrade done. Thought it would go smoothly but nooooo we are who we are. The installer who changed it did not mention until it the process was almost done that we have a new number! You can imagine my surprise! I hollered at him that I was not aware that we were getting a new number. We have or had numerous businesses and having our number change is a sensitive deal! Oh my lord!! So, as a result of this number change my poor hubby has lost a bunch of customers in his shoeing business. This was our fill-in for his other job he does. So you can imagine the frustration that is hanging around our place as of late!! Arggghhhhh! Don't even get me started on the Facebook thingy....to sum it up....Suxs!! We are about done with it all!! They are targeting conservatives on every social media venue out there it seems. We are not crazy like some but have strong views on God (like we LOVE our God) and we support our current president( Tr...

I found this to be appropriate for the times we are living right now! We are a divided people in the world today. The media is to blame for a ton of that....False reporting in every avenue. No more telling the truth. Started out just the Enquirer was one you couldn't trust. Now we can't trust any of 'em! Our world is a sad place to live anymore....You have to really search for the good in it all. We know as Christians that this HAS to happen as we are told in the scriptures for God to keep His promise. We have to use discernment in every aspect of our life including where we get our information. Satan is loose and we have to keep our armor shining and prepared for our battle.  We have been running like a chicken with our heads cut off this week! One of the many things we accomplished this week.... making ground out of whole meat. We had some leftover 'grind' meat that I keep in the freezer in gallon bags. I let them set in the sink for a day to defrost. Then I placed the meat only, in a big bowl and rinsed it out so it was ready for the grinding session. Now I have two grinders....one mechanical and the other,a machine. I used my machine to get this ground. Oyster Machine(Thank you to my MIL!) to the Rescue!! She grinds, blends, mixes, chops and grates! Haven't asked her to clean yet but if she does that too, I will get her on it right away!! Anyhoo, she ground all two gallon bags of whole meat into burger/ground round. I then, put about a pound to pound and half into each bag for the freezer.😮😲😲😲 ( I know right, she said she is going to re-freeze the meat) No worries folks, it does not hurt to re-freeze the meat nor does it c...
