Update on my Bronchitis/Pnuemonia: I am doing lots better but still have a ways to go. I am stronger than I was yesterday. I still have a cough but all the other symptoms are pretty much gone. Yeah. Spending time outside is limited especially with this ccccoooolllldddd weather we are having. I got out in it yesterday for a few minutes and had a hacking attack which ends up hurting. Still not a lot of energy but I attribute that to lack of oxygen, really!  I am hopeful that I don't relapse or get anything else this winter! ******************************************************************************************** In the meantime, I have been working on some beading projects. Christma Eve we got an email about some dear friends of ours back in Montana. Later that morning we got that call. He had passed onto the other side. We are heart broken!  Frank and Barbara were one of the first folks that Mtn Man befriended when he arrived in western Montana. They treated him like family and continue to this day. Frank was influential in Mtn Man's life in a huge way. Their sons are very much like brothers to him.  So naturally they were my first friends when Mtn Man brought me to Montana. I am truly sad for my very good friend. They were married for 53 yrs!  Barbara Kay Renfro wrote 4 books some time back. Dr. visit results....Tested negative for both flu and strep, positive for Bronchitis with touch of Pneumonia. Under orders to stay home, get rest and stay away from others who have potential to be sick. Have lots of help from prescriptions but one of the pills lowers your immune system while fixing the illness. Have seven days of that so will not be going anywhere for awhile. I am still sick with the crud....it has now evolved into my chest with croupy stuff. I am off to the doctor today to see if maybe they can get me something to prevent it from getting to bad. It started out dry and is now wet best I can describe.Sinuses are full up...nose is sore. Nothing alarming there. And it is extremely painful to cough...hoping it isn't pneumonia.  But on a lighter note I found this cool video to share..made me smile! Whole neighborhood in sync.... Good, Bad And The Ugly! That's what this blog is all about, right?  Not very often that I get sick...but this gal has caught an ugly bug. Low grade fever, dry cough and over all feel like something is attacking me from the inside out! I do not do sick that well. I feel guilty which comes from my upbringing really. If you were sick you almost had to be on death's door to stay home from school. If you did...stayed in bed all by yourself. Feed yourself (making your own meals unless you were younger) and couldn't really do anything other than stay in bed. You were made to feel isolated and guilty for feeling ill. It took an act of congress for me to be sick....and if I was I hated it! My step mother was in dire need of bedside manners. Holy Cow....I didn't know I had so much to share in these last few years......400 posts Wow! Today is no different. We ordered our Christmas cards the other day and they showed up in the mail yesterday. They are so cute! Maybe it is just me but I thought it was great fun! I am not your prepared Christmas gal. I don't usually get these out until the week before Christmas..LOL! This year we have decided to not have a tree but I have a wall of Christmas cards so not all is lost.  FILLING IN AS WE GO! This house is scary to have a tree in it. To many things not right...for example we have run out of outlet room to plug lights in(Mtn Man's fav). 2011 Christmas time on the ranch in Montana Remember the steering wheel issue(honking horn when you turn the wheel) on the Brown Bomber. We have taken 'er to the shop as of yesterday. The guys there are pretty good guys, reminds me of my younger days in my grandpa's shop. Not quite sure that they skin their deers out in there but dang close I would imagine. Their wood stove is great!! Back to the truck...Mtn Man got the steering wheel off after he bought a special tool to pull it. It was a bit rusty but he got it. Bad bearings was the culprit so he thought. Got it back together enough to drive it straight to the shop because now it has wiring issues(draining the battery) which started when the horn/steering thingy started. And the blower in the truck has been out for a long time and they are willing to tackle that bit of problem.  ********************************************************************************* Not really anything to report on the farm except maybe this...

Mtn Man had the breakfast burrito like the one in the picture and for a man who finishes most everything he eats, he could not finish this one! He really liked the taste of it too!  I had the caramel apple, whipped cream cheese crepes...Heavenly!!! Dave and Katey started this last November and seem to be having a ball with it.  They have espresso coffee as well as regular coffee to go along with you breakfast. They use mostly organic ingredients and farm raised goods. I would recommend for any family who wants to enjoy a good homemade meal.  And if you are on the go...they have something tasty for you too! Today was the day for our FJ to see the auto doc. She is getting new shiny tires, water pump, fan clutch, some rear seals replaced as well as some tie rods and bearings in the next couple days. Then she will get new glass and then she will go to the next auto doc to get her ac/heat area worked on and detail job. She will be like new when we get her back. Now back to our regular scheduled blog post...LoL! How was your week? Mine well, not exactly how I thought it would go..... This last week in fact, was completely opposite of what we had planned for. Last Sunday we were suppose to attend our first TG (Thanksgiving) supper. We dressed and got ready to go. Mtn Man went out to start the FJ which had been used as a table the day before over at the shop for meat processing. It was parked on a little incline. When he started it up it was making these awful noises. I asked if we should drive it and the reply was that it was low on tranny fluid but should be alright once we level out for a bit. I wasn't convinced but I loaded up anyway and off we go. About 10 miles down the road, it starts making another awful noise sounds way worse than tbe first...we chatted for a minute and decided to turn back around head for home. About mile back the noise had calmed down again. We made it safely home and made our phone calls to waiting friends ...

Sarah Josepha (Buell) Hale may be the individual most responsible for making Thanksgiving a national holiday in the United States; it had previously been celebrated only in New England. Each state scheduled its own holiday, some as early as October and others as late as January; it was largely unknown in the American South. Her advocacy for the national holiday began in 1846 and lasted 17 years before it was successful. Turkey Time or Thanksgiving Time is time set out for family in our house. Next week will fly by quickly. I want to wish my mother in law a Happy Birthday! Her  birthday lands the day after Turkey Day. My son's birthday is the day before Turkey Day this year. He would have been 24 yrs old. Crazy how time fly's!   I will have a couple posts put together this week but for the most part will be really busy. We have three events starting Sunday 23rd to attend. Not really sure if all farmers/ranchers hunt but we do. We enjoy hunting. The walks in the woods is refreshing even though we do this in the off season anyhow, we still enjoy the woods.  We headed out this morning not early by any means but it was a good time to go. The temp read 22-23* and we had a light breeze. Got to my spot and planted my hiney on a log. I was in a place were I could view all the way around me. Not to much brush just enough to not be seen that well by deer.   Mtn Man walked on to make a circle of sorts to maybe stir up the deer a bit. While I was sitting there in my spot I started talking with "The Man Upstairs". Let me fill ya in a bit, which will take us off track for a minute but I will get back to the story. I have lately been questioning my faith in God, you could say. Wondering if maybe believing in a being that I can't see is really the right way of doing things. We have been so busy lately!! With the new job we took on and the cold weather we have just been busy (occupied, engaged, involved, having a great deal to do).
