Floor is in ...Wahoo Thinking of doing this type of floor for the rest of the space. Note to self and mtn man...he is NOT allowed to fetch colored paint! LOL! Wanted a warm brown shade..even sent a swatch color with him...comes home with a sandy adobe or other known as peach color! LOL..... Heck slap it up we will see what it looks like ...ya not what i was thinking... Poor guy! He was really nervous to show me... I let him off the hook! We will probably cover the walls with wood anyhow! Laundry/mechanics room will be enclosed... I am really excited to get moved in...... Love hearing from ya!!!! No crossing the creek even in the truck...to much water! Again we have probably had about 12+ inches of water since this started on Friday late night. And it is still raining!!! ******************************************************************************** On the upside we have progressed a bunch since I wrote last... we finished getting the joists in place and put the old subfloor back in place and sealed the cuts and cracks. Then last night we did a little investigating and we have some water on top of the plastic we placed on top of the ground under the house..about 3-4" and will have to just wait until this clears to get it dried out! On our floor in the "new" bedroom we have placed the new subfloor. Today we will "Kilz" (a primer paint to cover all blemishes and molds etc) the walls and get the laundry appliances in (cross my fingers). Love hearing from ya!!!! I promise when my big puter is set up again I will write a more detailed post or posts about our remodel. My mobile device is just not working for that!!! ;) Today we have finally layed the final original floor piece down..glued and nailed! We will now lay a new subfloor on top of this.... Yesterday the men went to ripping up the floor in the one side! The damage to the 2x8 supports were damaged so bad they crumbled while pulling up the sub floor. After getting it opened up and after much discussion another trip to the hardware store for more lumber. Today we tackle the rest of the floor to include the other room. Today I have been wrestling with my usual post for Sunday..whether to post scripture from my bible or to put an alternate message here.  As you see it is the latter...brothers and sisters the devil in my mind has been let loose! No question about that in my mind and heart. It is becoming "normal" for us to live in fear of man. This last episode in California I believe was a test to something far more larger than our minds can comprehend. These individuals are working together all over the world to create chaos and turmoil that will not end until God takes action. We as a people of God need to continue to be vigilant in protecting those who cannot protect themselves! Continue to have Faith that God will do as He has written. They, the enemy, will continue to take away our security and will continue to force their agenda on those who are weak! The horses are enjoying their new digs! By the by this pic was taken after we had a 12" rain in 36 hr time! Just this last week!! Anyhoo, we started out by getting the posts in the ground...digging holes with the auger that attaches to the tractor...pouring the dry crete in the holes to help stabilize things a bit better. The moisture from the ground and air help the concrete get set up!   So as you can see in this picture we are ready to get the rest of the t posts in the ground...figuring it out as we go! My strong Mtn Man got the t-posts in and then we were off to the next section to get another set in the ground... Let me share a handy little trick that Mtn Man uses that I thought was fabulous...You see that 8 ft 2x4 laying on the ground there ...he uses it to figure out where to set the next post...8 ft apart! Nifty huh? Then the level is used to help level out the post from side to side....the line that is in there ...white in color...is to used for the li...

Mtn Man found me a stove to cook on ($100)...we went and picked it up...had a great visit with the owners. Put it in the back of the FJ excited to see it in action! The next day we took it out of the FJ and I cleaned it up! Little bit greasy but no biggie! We moved it into the house in the little spot in the kitchen now and when the room is ready for its debut we will move it into it new spot there. But for now it owns the spot in the ol' kitchen!  Isn't it cute? 3 burners up top and the oven is a bit bigger than the convection. Just have to figure out how to get those orifices adjusted. But the top works beautifully! We are using it like in a cabin style setting...individual propane tank hooked up to it. No point in plumbing in a new line when this part of the house is coming down in the spring! The BBQ out back still works good for baking, for now! This little stove doesn't have any labels on it...we are thinking maybe 1920's era...anybody know? Love hear...

Day #5 Yes another day!! LOL! Ok so the smell seem to get worse...we had company show up and give us a brand new microwave. So loving of them to do! And we all sat out at the bon fire having pizza and good time. Still trying to figure out what that smell was.... We finally had a moment to think about it a bit...Mtn Man said well maybe I jiggled that gas line enough that it is leaking at the other joint...Babe get me a bottle with soap and water! And ya know he was right! Little sucker was a bubblin away! Wahoo found the source of that putrid smell! And we are alive to tell the story! Ya know ladies and gents we have been enjoying our new water system! It works well!!! Wahoo!!   Love hearing from ya!!!! Day #4 So so happy to get a shower! Wash the dishes( little adjustment to the fire in the heater) and wash the clothes that were piling up! Wahoo! But friends we had another problem... we went to breakfast and came back to a horrible smell! I thought maybe it was the dirty dishes in the sink or the garbage so I went to getting that taken care of... we opened up the doors to air the place out and that afternoon still had a smell! Not good! Cannot find the source...well Mtn Man thought maybe it was a loose fitting in our water heater room so he checked those and found nothing. We continued on with our chores with this issue still in the back of our minds and nose! Mtn Man went up in the attic to finish attaching the rest of the pipe for the on demand water heater. Didn't think it a good idea to just vent into the attic so up through the roof it goes.... And the saga continues yet another day..... Really happy to have flowing water tho' !   Love hearing from y...
