I wasn't sure exactly what I was going to talk about today but God. 😏 A person goes through life acquiring friendships on all kinds of levels. From close to acquaintances. I once was told, as you get older the less and less friends you will have in your circle. I thought that person was nuts! Well I am here to tell you they were not. When I say friends, I mean those that you can tell your everything too! I have been blessed to have a few in my life. I had one for like 20 years and a couple others lasted about half that long. It is really difficult to find these kinds of people in this big ol world. But it seems these friendships go away at some point either because I outgrew the friendship or they outgrew it. However, it ends up being heartbreaking! In recent years, I lost one because he died. So I guess you could say he outgrew me. No but seriously he was the best! No judgments, loyal to the death and beyond. He took me for me and all of me! God I Miss Him...

I am coming into my season of Anniversaries. Wedding, Death dates, Thanksgiving memories, Christmas memories, and birthdays. I know so many have heard these stories over and over again. But when all your left with is the memories in my world that is all your left with!  At 56, widowed, childless and memories! Every year since I was 24, I have had significant dates in the memory banks. You know the ones that were life changing. Oh I had them before this age growing up, parents divorce, my brothers hearing returned, dad's remarriage, mother's marriage #2 & #3, engagement, marriage, birth of both of my children, etc. https://memasterson.com/ No, I mean life changing in the sense that it was traumatic for my little world! I tell of how I got there in my book. divorced, no job left, no car, homeless and so much more. Losing my grandfather shortly thereafter. So much happened in that short little span after I turned 24. There is so much controversy over store bought products. I, myself, have noticed changes in the ranch dressing. So fake!! This put me on the search for a recipe for real mayonnaise. And with that I found one that I feel is close to what great grandma would have made. For the most part, I doubt people, therefore I don't trust. My in laws could tell you it took about five years for me to trust them! Oh that is a story for another day as that is not where I am going today in this message.  For the most part, people will disappoint you. Even myself! Isn't that true for you too? How can it be any other way as we were created imperfect?  I was raised to trust God. And at one time, I believe I did. But somewhere in my late teens I lost that.  Humans, my parents (all of them) could not be trusted. Heck not sure they trusted each other! Two sets of them is exhausting, I digress!  So in my mind , if I couldn't trust the folks I could see? The same blood ran through my veins as theirs but I could not trust them. Manipulation, love on conditions, it's no wonder! My stepmom asked me one time, if I trusted God? I said probably not! She deduced that I probably didn't because I didn't trust man! You know that feeling when you're in a crowded room full of people and you still feel isolated?  That is the period of life that I would say that I am in! Not that I need anybody to feel sorry for me or to make judgment on this part of my life! What I am saying is sometimes God will put you in a place, and let me preface this with saying that everybody's isolation is different, that will isolate you from others lives, drama, concerns, etc. Because he is trying to draw you closer to him. He is fulfilling your heart's desire! To be closer to God is comforting. Isn't that our whole goal here on this Earth? Didn't he put us here for his concern, his love, his attention?  We get so carried away with our everyday lives that we forget to go to him for advice, for direction, for conversation. I'm back!  I made it back home. Now when I got here to Clinton Montana I had every intention of staying close to my Tom. But God always has different plan and sometimes it's hard to read God's plan. But looking back I can see where he was working in the background in my chaos!  So let's go back a bit to catch everybody up on what's happened. Since my last post I sold the Yellow She Shack Mercantile in Marquand Missouri. A family of folks took it over and put their spin on it. I wish them much success! At present, I'm in the process of selling my home front property down there in Missouri and purchasing a property in Montana.  When I left there in June I had hired a moving company to move me. That turned into a disaster! A few friends and myself packed up the U-Hauls and we drove to Clinton in 3 days. It was a good trip. Woohoo! Isn't that a sight to see?  Soon I will be back in my home! After the loss of my husband in 2023, I dove into the building that the two of us had acquired earlier in the year. I have made it into a successful little store in such a tiny little town of Marquand Missouri! And for two years I have immersed myself in this little store. It has been a mission of love! I wanted to finish the project that the two of us had started. And now that I have done what I set out to do I'm ready to go home to Montana.  Tom and I never intended on staying here this long. We moved here in 2013 and I'm still here. So with that said, I am moving back to Clinton Montana for the time being and will take some time to heal and breathe in some fresh air and heal.
