A Day of Remembrance
So, Whiskey and I loaded up in the car and we took a drive, and it was beautiful. I took some water samples up to Aquatana for them to test so that I could get the right system for my house. I want a whole house water system.
And then we took off for regions closer to Glacier, the Rocky Mountain Front, and went to pick up a meat order that I had ordered September 11th. And those people were awesome.
And then I decided that I wouldn't take the same route home because this place took me about an hour or so away from where we reside now. And so I decided to take the back roads. They started out pavement and over halfway back it turned into gravel and then it turned into pavement again. But it was a beautiful day, lots and lots of sunshine. And I realized today was the day that everybody came together to say their goodbyes to Tom. And I'm ever so grateful for all of them for showing their love for him.
But I also realized today that I wasn't a bumbling mess. I didn't sit here and wallow and bawl my eyes out and all the things that come with grief, but instead I lived today. And as I said in a Facebook post, I know that he is just waiting for me, but in the meantime, he would want me to live, live a happy life. So here's to me living.
