The sun has made her appearance today!! Everybody is enjoying it! We have had so much rain again...for days...that the sun for a day is a much needed relief! We are expecting more rain for the next four days...one being icy/snowy....then a couple days break then a few more days of rain!! As usual, we had flooding here yesterday....only had about 3 " of rain this go round. But the ground is just saturated from many days of rain this month. The sheep are in that shed who are still holding on to their babies! LOL. This is what happens when you do not have your breeding times on a schedule. You do a lot of waiting! The leaves are starting to come out on the trees and the flowers are in full bloom. Rhubarb is making it's debut today! I have three plants this year that are doing fabulous! Our candidate is Curly!! He is Quarab(Quarter Horse/Arabian Cross). He is coming 5 this year and is ready for a rider. Prior to this, he has had a saddle on numerous times and been lead behind a lead horse. He has had ground work but is now getting worked in a round pen to tune up his manners. He is willing and eager. He will make a fine horse! He is definitely his mommas boy. She is getting very tired these days....every day for her is a gift! ;) Copyright © 2018 M.E. I do not know about you but I would not be here if it was not for the "Man Upstairs"(God)!! I worry and have anxiety quite often. I then, have to remind myself that God has got this! I fervently pray that he remove the anxiety and worry from me. Please bring peace to my heart and mind and ya know it works, everytime! My book is getting closer to print. Sooo exciting! I was asked if I wanted cloth cover with dustcover (cost is higher for buyers) or a Laminate type (cost is lower for buyers). I went with the laminate as I want everybody to have a chance at purchasing my book without going broke! ;) It will be available in ebook, paperback, hardcover and audible(later this year). It will be interesting to see how my design comes out....we are using these three pictures for the cover Thank you for being so supportive!! We, FIL and us, set up on Friday and left Sunday afternoon. We made two trips a day to check on lambs....only 20 mins from the house. We had fun! Been 25 yrs since Mountain Man encamped at a Rondy and for me, it was my first time! We had fun! Tomahawk throw, Blackpowder shoot, Candy cannon and so much more. For those who have been following along in our story....Mountain Man did not get that dream job we talked about a couple weeks back. He did get the training but did not get the job nor did 23 other people! I know crazy right! We are moving forward day by day....trying to make it all work! God has GOT this too! Harry showed up with his mexican chairs after a few weeks of trying to figure out what leather would work to re-do them. They are about 100 yrs old. He was going to finish them himself but thought since we had the stuff and the know how he would hand it over to us. Mountain Man filled in the places that needed it. Then went to sanding on them. He wiped them down with neets oil to protect them and these chairs just drank it up! He had to create four more nail tacks in his blacksmith shop (sorry did not get pics). Then he went about assembling the chairs. Oh and he oiled the leather too! Harry loved them! Said his parents/grandparents? bought those down in mexico years ago....they sit under a covered porch in the middle of the oak woods in front of a huge log home! Soooo I had to share. Last week, I went to Vistaprint (online) and picked out my business cards, table poster, hand cards and easels. They showed up Wed. and Thurs.....I am so excited!! eeekkkkkk It is all becoming so real for me....I am nervous and thrilled all at the same time! Is it too late to turn back? The sun is shining, it's about 65 degrees out with a little bit of a breeze and just gorgeous! I mowed for the first time this season....snakes will be appearing and I do not want to get caught off guard. It is boot season for awhile!  The guys are up working on the sawmill today. Cutting cedar for a neighbor up the way. Mountain Man is sooo happy to be working on his mill. We have acquired two more orders for cedar....one may turn out to be a long term deal. We shall see! The ewe lambs are heavy with babies. Today may be the day. I went over to check a couple of them out and it seems that #3 may be in early labor. The sun has come out!!!!! Mountain man has decided today is the day to work on the chickie hut. Yay! A few weeks ago, a gal I know approached me with a proposition that I had thought about but hadn't moved on yet. God has a funny way to go about things, really!
