Last One To Go!

Mountain Man, my loving husband, got a notice yesterday that one of the mules he was very fond of and worked with for many years passed away this weekend. She resided in his ol' hometown in Montana and it was her time to go! She lived a long and happy life! Melody The Mule was a worker!

Then he realized that all of these critters are all gone now even the fella, Walt, who took the picture is gone too! He is the only one left out of this picture that is around to tell the story! That gave me a little lump in my throat when he said that last night.

Mountain Man lived this life for many years before it was cool or even a television show. Being mocked by friends and neighbors for years. But he believed in his mountain man life so much that he carried it on and in some ways still does. There are many days he wishes he could go back to live this life. And I know that about him but we both believe that if it is in God's plan he will take him back.
We also know that it may have only been his 'once in a lifetime'.

So long ol' Melody The Mule...Thank you for being apart of our story! She was what started our relationship back 9 yrs ago this month with this picture...
