Shop Return

2011 Christmas time on the ranch in Montana
Remember the steering wheel issue(honking horn when you turn the wheel) on the Brown Bomber. We have taken 'er to the shop as of yesterday. The guys there are pretty good guys, reminds me of my younger days in my grandpa's shop. Not quite sure that they skin their deers out in there but dang close I would imagine. Their wood stove is great!!
Back to the truck...Mtn Man got the steering wheel off after he bought a special tool to pull it. It was a bit rusty but he got it. Bad bearings was the culprit so he thought. Got it back together enough to drive it straight to the shop because now it has wiring issues(draining the battery) which started when the horn/steering thingy started. And the blower in the truck has been out for a long time and they are willing to tackle that bit of problem.

Not really anything to report on the farm except maybe this....the mill ran into a bit of a problem a couple weeks ago. The little rolling wheels that move the unit rusted out! So FIL ordered the parts for the unit. They sent the wrong ones. Had to have new ones shipped out. They sent them to Montana not Missouri. Not sure why but the first ones made it here, hey new day I guess. The parts that went to Montana finally made it here yesterday which we will send back..:)
After all of this we do have the parts in hand (two sets actually..LOL) so the guys can fix the rollers. Saturday is the scheduled day to do this task. Will require a tractor so will bring one of them bad boys home from the job.

Which brings me to the job.......I am almost done with the brush hoggin' part of the job. It looks great!! We have had delay after delay but do believe it will be completed this week if the weather holds out! Wahooooo!

Speaking of ..gotta go stuff my face...and get to work.............Have a great day everybody!
