  Good Morning Folks, I am not sure what the weather is like where you are but here this morning it is cold again! 38* and the wind is blowing. Usually means we have a weather front coming. Looking over the weather yesterday they are calling for severe thunderstorms which may or may not include tornado's. You guessed it, we are in the "season" once again. I did see one meteorologist who proclaimed that there has not been one tornado in the whole united states in the month of March thus far. Which is a rarity! He said he had never seen it.....let's hope this isn't the storm that makes up for the lack of tornadoes.   **************************************************************************** Mtn Man has an interview (2 day if everything goes right) come Thursday. We have been praying and praying....all together now everybody say a little one for us please. This new job would bring big changes for the two of us but it would also bring income to pay everything...

We headed out yesterday morning to round up work for ourselves. Handing out business cards to folks who had horses. That was fun! Wherever there were horses we would pull in the drive, Mtn Man would get out knock on the door and talk to whomever answered leaving them with a business card or two. Looking the "Ol' Fashion Way" as the youngins would say! We got to see a lot of country that I hadn't seen before. Stopped off at a couple of cemeteries to take pics...which is one of my hobbies....and always fun to see how old they are. Went by a place out there in the hills that had a huge atrium that housed some palm trees in it! We stopped long enough to take a couple of pics....    Met some interesting folks out in these hills!  We will venture out to the north for more work this week......Hopefully something will pop!  Spring is right around the corner....Sunday's temp was a huge tease 69*...GORGEOUS!! Stopped in the little town of Silva and found this...

2011 Christmas time on the ranch in Montana Remember the steering wheel issue(honking horn when you turn the wheel) on the Brown Bomber. We have taken 'er to the shop as of yesterday. The guys there are pretty good guys, reminds me of my younger days in my grandpa's shop. Not quite sure that they skin their deers out in there but dang close I would imagine. Their wood stove is great!! Back to the truck...Mtn Man got the steering wheel off after he bought a special tool to pull it. It was a bit rusty but he got it. Bad bearings was the culprit so he thought. Got it back together enough to drive it straight to the shop because now it has wiring issues(draining the battery) which started when the horn/steering thingy started. And the blower in the truck has been out for a long time and they are willing to tackle that bit of problem.  ********************************************************************************* Not really anything to report on the farm except maybe this...

I am sorry I didn't write yesterday but I was a little busy. We have started a new job yesterday that requires us our full attention. We are starting a new business involving chainsaw work, brush hogging, fence building and general property management. We are excited to finally be at this point.  As most of you know, Mtn Man has been down for the last year from a full knee reconstruction. He has been told he can return to work. It was suggested that he look for another line of work which requires some re-training. This is like telling a work horse that he can't pull a plow anymore! Not willing to quit! We prayed heavily for God to show us the way. Trying to listen to His direction, hoping we are not failing. Having faith that He will show us our new path and direction He wants us to go. This has been a struggle as it is for many humans. Our very nature is to "do it ourselves" meaning for most not including God in the equation. We are working hard in changing our...

It starts the morning of Saturday, June 4th. Tom takes off early for a shoeing job before his prison job. Now he has been telling me for at least three weeks that he wants to find something else to do as the prison is getting under his skin. So I decided to pray about this for a bit and come Saturday morning my answer was given, start putting out resumes for him. I would do this for any friend who I saw wasn't happy so why not my husband. This mind you is not something he knows about YET! About an half an hour after I put out 12 resumes Tom receives a phone call on his cell, the fellow and him talked for an hour. After this call Tom called me and asked if I wanted to go ranchin'? I was beside myself...well Hell yes I did! He said well now wait a minute before I jump the gun and start packin' we needed to go and check the place out! He said we will be moving 600 miles away and the move will be expensive etc, but lets go check it out! Then the conversation mov...
