Beginning Again, Again!
I am sorry I didn't write yesterday but I was a little busy. We have started a new job yesterday that requires us our full attention. We are starting a new business involving chainsaw work, brush hogging, fence building and general property management. We are excited to finally be at this point.
As most of you know, Mtn Man has been down for the last year from a full knee reconstruction. He has been told he can return to work. It was suggested that he look for another line of work which requires some re-training. This is like telling a work horse that he can't pull a plow anymore! Not willing to quit!
We prayed heavily for God to show us the way. Trying to listen to His direction, hoping we are not failing. Having faith that He will show us our new path and direction He wants us to go. This has been a struggle as it is for many humans. Our very nature is to "do it ourselves" meaning for most not including God in the equation. We are working hard in changing our thinking involving Him in our every decision. This process makes things so much smoother. And He continuously surprises us of what He is capable of doing in our life. He requires action from us which we are willing to give and feel that we need to give Him more as the days pass by.
Yesterday was our first day on this property. We had scoped(met with the owners) this job out earlier last week to see if we felt it was something that we could handle. FIL has agreed to help out when he is available. We will be clearing out the tree tops, cleaning out the leftover wood, brush hogging about 45 acres of ground and stump removal. When it is done we hope to have it look like a park and usable to build on. This job will take us into spring and then we hope to have more work after that......
This new venture is exciting to us both.. God is great! He has our backs, now if I can just let Him do his job and trust that He will, we will all be better for it! I am a natural in the worry department! I was born on Tax Day enough said! LOL! No but really I have to work at not worrying. Which takes action on my part. Conscientiously thinking that God has this situation of ours in His hands and has it already figured out. Being conscious of the fact that He really wants us to succeed in whatever we set out to do, not fail as so many of our human acquaintances of our past would like to see us do. God has got this!
Today we have been rained out .....maybe we can do something tomorrow. Yesterday I brush hogged while Mtn Man did a bit of chainsaw work. We felt our first day was fulfilling!
Here are some "before" pics I took yesterday....
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own
understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct
your paths (NKJV)-Prov 3:5,6
