Writing My Book
I have been working on writing this book since the death of my children. I have a few people who have waited years for me to finish this book. Again I tell them that hopefully I will accomplish that this year (2014). I set goals for myself to get it finished and yet it still sits here in my mind and computer waiting for it's completion. This book is a painful reminder of what my past has shown me in my journey. To write down the memories some days puts me in moods I can't even describe to anyone as they would not understand.
The other feeling I wrestle with is putting it "all out there" for others to see is quite frightening to my inner self. It means I am "layin it all out" for others to see...and sometimes the response to my short stories I tell is not welcoming so how would it be coming "all out" in book form? Then the other side of the coin, I feel pushed sometimes by "The Man Upstairs" to complete this book so others can learn from it. Learn from me, I say? Other people have gone through much worse how could my story benefit others? Well I have been told that my story is powerful and that my living through it all should be testament unto itself.
The support of my writing this book is greatly appreciated...you know who you are.....and I am praying heavily on this struggle to finish and truly hope this is the year I finish my book "A Heart In Pieces/Returning From Devastation"
Part of my horoscope says this for 2014--- "This is not a year to procrastinate because the stars want to most strongly support your projects from the get-go and start to lose steam later in the year when pleasure becomes a higher priority."
So I believe I will continue to work on my book taking this opportunity while Mtn Man is recovering(which may be longer than he thinks) to finish what I started so many years ago.

Do not doubt yourself. When you lay it all out there, there will be those who criticize because they just don't get it. They don't matter. You are writing for those that need to hear your story. They matter. And if it seems that God is pushing you to finish your book, it probably is a really good idea to listen and obey.

DeleteI haven't been a follower of your blog for very long, but I do hope that you can get that final last push from you family, friends, the man up stairs, or even from little ol' me! Get it going. There will always be people who don't like your book, but you know what? There's many that WILL like, if not, need to read your book.
