Hard On Fences

Cows are hard on fences! This is the first time our beautiful girls have tested our fences since we built them. Well, who could blame them when they have new hay to try out and it is sitting right on the fence line. Can't blame them to much, really!
Monday they found the round bale of hay that Mountain Man left on the fence line when it fell from the stack. He said he thought they would probably not bother it considering they had a fresh bale in the feeder. Ha Ha he was wrong wrong!!
By the time I found it, the girls had the fence wallered down to the halfway point. So, I put P-nut to work getting the girls back in the other pasture. I had to come up with a solution. I was a little peeved to be honest! But I went back to the house called the Man and he came up with a solution that I executed. Started up the tractor, took the cattle panels out of the garden ( the only ones we have left on the farm), the tractor carried them up to the spot in question. I moved the bale from the fence by placing it in the pasture so they could finish cleaning it up. Then went back to fix the broken fence by wiring it up. Then took the cattle panels and wired them up to the posts to ensure no more damage.
So far so good!!

Thank goodness for noticing the problem or we would have had a disaster on our hands!!
