Weekend Updates Part 1 (Pic Heavy)
It has been raining here off and on all week and looks to continue for a bit.
We decided despite the weather to head off on Sat. to the Rendezvous they were having over in Prairie Du Rocher, Il at Fort De Chartres (prounounced Fort D' Shart). We got rained out on Sat. and returned Sunday to finish what we didn't get to see.
This will be in several parts I took lots of photos.......
Then we ventured on to the fort another 5 miles up the way. We passed through two flood gates which was a little disturbing to my brain. Literally to keep the Mississippi out of this town and possibly channel the water. It was interesting to see....

ReplyDeleteI love field trips, you get to see so much and don't have to travel for long extreme distances.
Thanks for sharing, l look forward to the rest of your pictures.
I figured that Popeye had to be from the Midwest - he was so practical and sensible. :-)
