Ending with a Blow

The wind showed up with a bang. As we speak insulation is flying off the house where we took the siding off for the movers on the house. It will probably land in the next county before somebody will be able to pick it up. We here at the ranch keep a close eye on the weather and non of us expected this today. They said this morning 20% chance of moisture which in this country means nothing! Not today, it brought pea size hail and spots of rain and GUSTY winds!

We almost had everything done we had planned on getting accomplished today! Oh well always tomorrow! Hubby and I tagged a few new calves this morning then went out to gather all our mineral barrels of all sizes. We had to go to the 20,000 gal water tank, pick up the pump and set the pipes to drain the ENTIRE tank to get it ready to move. I will probably have a lake out back when it is done, fresh water for the horses not so bad. Then we went out to the Windmill pasture (speaks for itself) and picked up these huge tanks, that used to be propane tanks, now hold water. Not a small tasks either. By the time we got done with the draining project my FIL made it back from his daily trip south with the flatbed these tanks had to be loaded onto.
When we got back from that the guys loaded up the fence trailer onto my FJ Cruiser. Looks like another good load goin down south.

Before all this craziness happened today we decided to move "Blue" into the field with "Lyfa" and "Curly". They all had their moment at first but eventually settled so much so that I was able to get some pics.

See his almost half moon?

While the day was happening, I decided to rinse off the turkey I had been defrosting and put it on the grill at about 350 for about 5 hrs. Covered it in tinfoil and it was toasty brown when done! Tasty it was, did not dry out like maybe I thought would.
Oh, this dang head cold/allergy thang is still hangin on! I was so hoping I was over it by now but no....oh well hopefully it will be gone by the time shipping comes. A week from tomorrow our first set is goin to sale barn...
Well I am off to steam this congestion out as nothing else seems to help! Until later....
