The snow started about 7 am this morning after it rained about 2 1/2" thru the night. It didn't stop raining all night! We are expecting anywhere from 5-10" of snow today. It is still coming down! Down in Gillette, Wy our boss said they have 10" and counting. The trees are breaking from the weight of the snow. He calls it his "Auto-Trim"! Thank you mother nature...

Today's recipe will actually be a beverage appropriate to our weather. Up in these parts they are called "Alpines" or as Dad calls them "Pine Trees".
Recipe:1 coffee mug of hot water, add hot chocolate mix and 1 shot of peppermint schnapps (1/2 as much if you don't like it strong....this requires experimentation to your taste buds)
This is a required drink here in the winter in our house!
