Sunday Passage

For by the grace [of God] given to me I say to everyone of you not to think more highly of himself [and of his importance and ability] than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has apportioned to each a degree of faith [and a purpose designed for service].-Romans 12:3 (Amplified Bible)

"Faith is not a feeling.....Faith is a decision that we make about where we are going to put our trust"-Joyce Meyers

Mtn Man and I, are constantly testing this avenue in our lives. What I mean is, we tell "the Man Upstairs" that we give it all to Him. Trusting He will take it and run with it. The test comes when we try to take it back, and we run with it. You know what happens? Failure most times. We call that "Indian Giving"....Give it then take it back. When we let Him have it, it is always successful to His plan.
We were talking this morning about plans for our future. We, tend to dream, like we all do. But...But we also realize that our plans are not always HIS! He sees the whole picture....He has our dreams in mind, yes, I do believe that. He has THE plan, and we have to practice faith that He will have the plan that is best for us. It is difficult at times for us to practice faith, to have faith in His plan. This is where Trust comes in to play.
Let's face it...it is difficult to have trust in a being that you cannot see. That others see as being a fool. But they don't know or otherwise do recall, that I had a lot of practice not having Him in my life. All it caused me is anguish, turmoil, and pain. I have been shown the other path. Peace and true joy are on that path. Hard work, responsibility, accountability, and knowing that blessings are on that path are the only way this family is going.
When we stop practicing faith which in turn, means we are not putting our trust in God, we tend to see things fall down in our personal lives.
We all fall down, most of us get back up. It is what we do that matters. Do we practice faith? Do we have faith in God? Do we trust Him to have our backs?
God gave us a degree of faith.....Do we use it or are we losing it?
