Not anything like what Texas is suffering but we are flooding around Southeast Missouri. waves of showers and thunderstorms are expected to occur across the watch area through Friday night due to a very moist air mass in place across the region... a stalled front and the remnants of Tropical Storm Bill. These thunderstorms are expected to be very efficient rainfall producers with potentially extensive flooding.  Someone mentioned to me that this was going to be a wet summer. I said yeah probably will. I am sorry to those who are suffering drought which is not the case here. My goodness! Overnight we had 3 1/4" of rain drop on us. This is why I have a river running down my driveway!!  The weather folks tell us to hold on for more storms moving through and to expect up to 7" of rain through the weekend with this BIG tropical storm that is on land from Texas.  The last time they had big storms come through one right after another like this the creek had risen to high it came up to my porch out front... if I remember right it was in the 50's. I am hoping that it doesn't get that high. More pics from this morning.... not much different than you have seen before but dang! Last storm we had where the river running down the drive was 7 3/4" in three days. This as overnight! Now can you see the concern.... Culvert is Working!! Will keep ya posted! ...

Can I start this day over? Get ready for the venting session....ok ya ready here it comes......  It has sucked from the time I left my comfort zone (the farm) this morning. People are nuts when they drive. Whatever happened to giving yourself time to get where your going instead of runnin up somebody's ass and stayin there until they pass ya or turn at their spot! I hate traffic and other disrespectful drivers. Going into the city for me is punishment! And when I have to drive well, strangle me NOW and get it over with! It really gets my goat when a driver passes at a high rate of speed and they are headed to the same place you are only to get there 30 secs before you!! ARrrgghhh! Yes, I give dirty looks! Monday it rained like the dickens in the first half of the day and the second half was blasted hot! My girls were grateful for the shade from the big trees which was a bit cooler. I hopped on the tractor in search for some entertainment for them. I first started in the horse/goat pen. Grabbed up some old hay to lay in the top of the pen so maybe in couple days I can turn it and find bugs. Then I wanted some old logs to place out in their pen so I could turn them in a few days for bugs. Got the idea from another blogger which I can't remember, sorry! then I thought well maybe under some of those old logs would be all kinds of bugs of all sorts and worms. I dug up a half a scoopful and we hit paydirt. The girls love it!! I will continue to find new things to introduce to them to keep things interesting.
