Cute toes, right? New product that I have discovered...will share soon!   My Mtn Man fixed our hot tub for me. I have to say I am really HAPPY that he fixed it. My migraines have snuck back on me once again. My muscles get so tight in my shoulders that it cuts the blood off to my brain (medically diagnosed, Basilar Artery Damage) causing the migraines. Plus my limbs go to sleep or most of the time they are half asleep. Getting in to that HOT water and soak plus the jets it works wonders. When my body hurts a lot sometimes I get in it a few times a day to get through. Thank God literally that he provided a way for me to get relief. This is key to me to continue to move about.  I tell ya I have been without it for months now. Trying to find someone to come down here to figure out what the problem was, is like trying to pull teeth that are well rooted! So I waited until God sent somebody to us that could figure it out. Yes, I am a day late on Weekend Updates but in my defense, we were busy working in the garden yesterday trying to catch it up on the weeds. This large of a garden is full time job. Limited day due to heat and humidity leaves us to work it in the morning hours up until about noon at the latest. Then pick up on other chores the rest of the day. On with the weekend...... Saturday we finished the corner posts on the big field. It is ready for fencing now. And then worked in the garden...... Sunday we headed for the lake..... What a gorgeous day we had! We left just in the nick of time. A storm moved in that was a gully washer or as some say down here a frog choker! No, we did not go water-skiing although it would have been fun! This guy was probably about a mile out on the water from us.  Last night more storms moved in that dropped about 6" of rain. It rained all night and just quite a bit ago. Soggy!! It  hit a warm 60* here today!!! Can you see the grin from ear to ear?? So after getting Mtn Man off to his folks, I went to work cleaning that nasty mess in the hot tub . Drained it of it's ugliness then took it apart (whatever I could get my grimy hands on to clean) and cleaned (used ODOBAN) it thoroughly. Rinsed it, emptied again(shop vac is used for what is left, emptying it numerous times). Filled it completely added some H2o2 (35% Hydrogen Peroxide-Spa Science Brand) and then ran the jets running it through all the blowers and pipes only to find that there was some lingering uckies!! :( Empty again and yes, used the shop vac again for the third time! Wiped it out again to make sure I didn't have any lingering parts, with a lot of hope and confidence that this time surely it has to be clean I filled it again. Whew this time all was wonderful! This started today around 9 am and ended at 2:30 pm....Yes, I really like my hot tub and can't wait to use it again or should...

Oh where to start.......... When day broke this morning we headed to the spa like we do most everyday, opened the lid and were hit with this site! Yes, Brown, Yucky Water!!! The temp is 104* and the smell is getting worse as the day goes on.....I pulled the filter to see if maybe I could figure out what could have possibly happened and it looks as if a mouse decided it wanted to try a night of bathing! So will have to wait until the weather gets above 30* and empty the spa, clean it(sanitize everything) and refill with fresh clean water. I have never seen anything like it........have to order more filters as I have used the two I had while switching over to our new way of keeping our spa. Can you see me convulsing all over from this? I sure hope we can get it all clean...... PS.....the smell in the laundry is coming from under the house...Mtn Man thinks it might be a dead rat from the shed we tore down. Does it ever end?? I know later on we will laugh about all this but now....arg...

"Peanut" as she is apply called is such a loyal companion to me. She has a great personality, in the mornings after her outdoor run she immediately wants back in to wake me. When she does it is a ton of love in the form of hugs and kisses galore! She rolls, plays and licks for about a half hour until I say it is "time to get up." She is always to be right in the middle of whatever I am doing at all times. She has a bed time at about 8:30pm. She puts herself to bed most nights, sometimes she comes and gets me to put her to bed. Such a personality!!! Luv her!! And she eats cows for supper every chance she gets!!! This is the newest picture of Tom's injuries....woke to it black and blue at his toes. Looks lots better today! Monday MRI on his knee to see the damage...... 12* this morning but not to cold for a dip! Gorgeous Morning for it! This is what the back looks like so far....new deck and horse shoe hangers for our hot tub needs...still lots ...

Diagnosis Update: Severely Sprained Ankle & A Possible Broke ACL (waiting to get the MRI for verification) We came home to the farm yesterday after spending our time at his folks since Christmas Eve. Our house wasn't ready for an injured individual yet but we are set now! Today FIL, MIL and I worked up some wood for our coming weather tomorrow and this weekend. Emptied the hot tub as the chemicals were affecting me in a negative manner. We have opted to go the H202 way for now. I purchased what's called 35% Spa Science to add to our spa. So today I cleaned it with this then added new water, filter and H202. It is warming up once again so maybe tomorrow evening it will be ready for a dip. Over the Christmas holiday I made a Coconut Cream Pie that was quite yummy! It was devoured by the company of 21 people there.
