Merimac Cavern Tour (PIC HEAVY)
Today we woke to 66* which is a wonderful turn from yesterday's temps of 92*.
****************************************************************************
Went to the Meramec Caverns for our anniversary. It was a lovely drive and the caverns were beautiful! Ranger Mark was our tour guide...... the tour was a mile and half long of 5 levels of the cave. Disabled Accessible. The cave is actually 26 miles of underground passages. Here is a bit more info on these caves
Sorry about the pics... the computer I presently use has issues with the card reader.... my main puter is still in need of repair....
They offer sluice mining for children, gift shops, ice cream, fudge, restaurant, motel and camping. If you ever make it over to Stanton, Mo off of I-44 East just west of St. Louis, Mo stop in at this cave you can pretty much blow the whole day here.......
