Adventures Of Life!

I have chosen to take the "comments" option off of my page. First, I have found I really don't have the time (which is the truth, really) to reply back to every person that comments (which is only a few at a time). I love hearing from everybody, but am so busy about the only thing I get to read really is my email (marye.masterson@gmail.com) in the evenings before I pass out from exhaustion!! Plus some of the ones who comment regularly anyway, email me so the comment option is off for now. Do hope everyone understands! Ok, now for the weekend updates..... we finally got the fence done on the lease property!!! Whew!! Brush Piles Behind the Fence To Encourage Small Game (Rabbits and such) Big Water Gaps Water Gaps (see the blocks holding the fence down this way when it floods it will take just this not the whole fence) We (FIL, MtnMan and myself) managed to get all the horses moved over yesterday! All happy campers in their new pasture. Curly 3 ...

We spent the week getting ready for the BIG Event. Mowing, Trimming, Cleaning Up And Setting Up the Tee Pee. This might not seem like a lot, but it truly is.... This week we get the lease acres wired off and move horses. Back to the Big Event.... His two sisters live in St. Louis while the other lives in Rogers, Arkansas and the folks live near Cape Girardeau while our friends live close to the folks. Everybody made their way over to our place Friday morning. They all came in with tents, coolers, chairs and tons of food!  We sat around and visited moving as a crowd to the shade when it moved. Some left to find a swimming hole while others took naps or visited or rode 4 wheelers or whatever. That's the fun of getting together, everybody can do whatever they desire.... Within reason, of course!  Then come Saturday everybody was gone by noon! And we crashed!!!! Had so much fun.... Look forward to next year! Mowed...

I can't believe we made it through 6 mos of this year already!!! Here we are working on the first of July with the 4th right around the corner. Mtn Man and FIL have been working hard on getting the fence up on the lease acres the weather has held them back for the most part. It is looking really nice. Hoping to move horses beginning of next week. We have a passle of relatives showing up for the 4th of July weekend so no work to be done.    When they aren't working on fence they are scraping posts for the tee pee . It is quite interesting to watch. The peel them with this scraper (they have an official name for it and I can't think of it right this second) then they take this other tool and it takes off the harder stuff like knots and such.
