It seems my whole life has been in preparedness since I was born. Raised in a religion that was based on being ready for the End of The World at any moment. We neither know the day or the hour when it will come. So for me I am a prepared person down to my bones. Even when I go to work on a project...I think of everything I will need from start to end. Get really mad when I forget something too! It a real world situation that one mistake could cost ya your life!  I am not saying that we need to live in fear of living our lives. We just need to be a bit more prepared even for things like your house caught on fire. Do you have extra pair of britches and a tshirt or shoes somewhere so when you are caught in your underwear in the middle of the night you have something to put on? Or if you are in rural...

North of us here were some strange happenings. It is tornado season here in this part of the world. Comes with it a slew of severe storms. Well today was a dousy!! We are amazed at this garden! We thank God for it everyday...... Today I went out to the sopping wet garden with Mtn Man's boots on...yes, a pic in of itself, thank goodness he didn't get that one....and picked to my little hearts content in between rain showers. We just heard the Tornado Watch Warning come over our two way radios so we are in for a day of it. Cabin fever describes the extreme irritability and restlessness a person may feel in these situations. [ 2 ]" To keep ourselves from getting bored over this storm(which dropped 2" and dropped temps under zero), I decided to filter thru the items in our spare room to go to storage. Finding all kinds of goodies to put away is always a fun thing but in our situation we don't want to get to cozy as we are gonna have to take it down later on this year to start the building process of our log cabin. Mountain Man did help a little but did a lot of supervising the process! Today the weather cleared a little bit so he decided to go move it to the storage unit and out of the house. Even tho the temps are still really cold and the wind chill is bitt...
