Making Apple Butter

I love good apple butter on sourdough toast! OMG!

Recipe:

15lbz peeled, cored, diced apples
4 cups water
4 cups apple cider vinegar
6 cups sugar
1cup of lemon juice
1 tsp allspice
3-4 tsp cinnamon

add vinegar and water to apple.......cook down until apples are mushy. 1-2 hrs on med temp...
then mash with potato masher or blender thingy...whatever works for you.
add remaining ingredients..then cook down some more...uncovered....once it seems thick enough like a runny jam....

put in hot jars with hot lids
water bath 10 mins. wait for the plink noise....

15lbs for me=28 half pints, 4 pints
