Today we start branding the new group that has come in the last weeks. This seems to always be an exciting time for all involved. We all know it is hard work, but fulfilling when it is done. This is the time when we can really take a close look at the girls and boys going thru the shoot. Since these are new cows we can record all their information, change their tags to our recording system.
For me, as the cook, requires a day preparation to feed all the hungry people after branding. Today I have shredded bbq beef n buns, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, apple/pear crisp, and peach upside down cake.
Well better get back at it....people are showing up!
