Alterations Made

Image
Saturday we made the trip over to Joplin to drop off the screamer and her babies. Loaded up Lyfa and headed south to Arkansas. We got a call before we left asking us to come on down to see his sister. We thought we were that close (1 1/2 hrs), why not? It was really nice to see the family. Kids soaked it up. Mtn Man's Mini next to him We also brought Little Man with us on this trip for his new home. He went to Arkansas to a breeder. How fortunate could we have gotten!! I am happy that everything went smoothly. Lyfa is back in a new home (the goat pen modified a little) and I think she likes having a bit of quiet time to herself. She seems content!  We took out the divider in the shed and tied open the doors she could come and go as she pleased.  Even at 23 yrs old she is curious! Came back last evening to rest on our front porch. It was so lovely to hear the quiet once again. Serenity Valley is once again, peaceful! Love hearing from ya!!!!  FOLLOW US...

Catching Up!

Now back to our regular scheduled blog post...LoL! How was your week? Mine well, not exactly how I thought it would go..... This last week in fact, was completely opposite of what we had planned for. Last Sunday we were suppose to attend our first TG (Thanksgiving) supper. We dressed and got ready to go. Mtn Man went out to start the FJ which had been used as a table the day before over at the shop for meat processing. It was parked on a little incline. When he started it up it was making these awful noises. I asked if we should drive it and the reply was that it was low on tranny fluid but should be alright once we level out for a bit. I wasn't convinced but I loaded up anyway and off we go. About 10 miles down the road, it starts making another awful noise sounds way worse than tbe first...we chatted for a minute and decided to turn back around head for home. About mile back the noise had calmed down again. We made it safely home and made our phone calls to waiting friends ...

Weekend Updates

Image
Whew! What A Weekend! We saw all kinds of folks this weekend. Some repeats and some new. Great visiting with everybody. Installed a bathroom cabinet and faucet at the neighbors farm house with Mtn Man's assistance. Then had supper with them which was a nice change. Tator went home with the InLaws Sunday. Sure he was happy to be back to his own place! Peanut sure misses him... Saturday we went to Pioneer Days here in town was a little disappointed. Let me explain, after installing the bathroom cabinet we came home and changed our clothes. We got there about 3 pm and the festival was folding up. Most of the booths were gone, the band was playing but nothing else going on. They had the parade at 3pm which I can only imagine wasn't all that big but never have heard of it going at the end of a festival instead of the beginning. And folding up shops at 3 because they were told to. Poor management! I did get some local honey. We got to look over the Sitze's cabin and the...
