Storms came in Thursday with fair warning. We headed for the storm shelter which is cozy for two people and three dogs but it does it job! The front door of the container is a bugger to try to shut from the inside especially when you have high winds working against ya. So Friday Mtn Man went to work fixin this issue so we will be safer in our shelter.  First he had to remove the door handles which are long rails you twist to shut. For the last year we have had a rope attached so we can pull it shut and tie it to the inside hooks. After Thursday nights high winds, hail and torrential rain he decided we needed a better system. Mtn Man went to welding on new handles which required cutting a hole in the box to put the handle in. Then put another handle on to make things easier to shut from the outside and two brackets for locking from the outside and one on the inside. The end result is fabulous! May not look pretty but it is functional! ******************...

North of us here were some strange happenings. It is tornado season here in this part of the world. Comes with it a slew of severe storms. Well today was a dousy!!   Good Morning Folks, I am not sure what the weather is like where you are but here this morning it is cold again! 38* and the wind is blowing. Usually means we have a weather front coming. Looking over the weather yesterday they are calling for severe thunderstorms which may or may not include tornado's. You guessed it, we are in the "season" once again. I did see one meteorologist who proclaimed that there has not been one tornado in the whole united states in the month of March thus far. Which is a rarity! He said he had never seen it.....let's hope this isn't the storm that makes up for the lack of tornadoes.   **************************************************************************** Mtn Man has an interview (2 day if everything goes right) come Thursday. We have been praying and praying....all together now everybody say a little one for us please. This new job would bring big changes for the two of us but it would also bring income to pay everything...

We are amazed at this garden! We thank God for it everyday...... Today I went out to the sopping wet garden with Mtn Man's boots on...yes, a pic in of itself, thank goodness he didn't get that one....and picked to my little hearts content in between rain showers. We just heard the Tornado Watch Warning come over our two way radios so we are in for a day of it. I usually do a Weekend Update but today does not seem appropiate in light of the events that happened overnight and through today for others east of us. We are fortunate just lots of water here. Down pours of rain!  For others unfortunately they lost their lives in one of the deadliest tornado outbreaks of the year and it just started! Vilonia/Mayflower, Ar(EF5 unconfirmed) is 250 miles South and West of us here in Marquand, Mo and Quapaw, Ok & Baxter Springs, Ks(EF2) is 330 miles west of  us. Unconfirmed reports are saying that 16 have perished in these storms. The storms are moving east with threats of even more tornadoes, one set down in Bossier, LA (EF2) just this morning.
