Food A Plenty

Image
http://www5.bountifulbaskets.org/  https://www.communityhelpingscoop.com/ I have personally participated in the bountiful baskets coop when I lived in Montana. It was great! For $15 I got a basketful of fruits and veggies much like that one you see in the picture. Twice a month I could participate in this program. Now I have plenty from my garden although I would enjoy the fruit. I now just donate to the cause to feed others who may need it. This is a great way to donate...... there are many states who participate in this program. If interested go to the link above.... The other link is for the St.Louis and surrounding areas so I have participated in it for our area. Cost is about $25 for a basketful too!  I love feeding people and found this is a great way to do that..... Check it out!!! If neither of these work for you ....check out places close to you one never knows until they look!  UPDATE: If you donate don't be surprised to get a call from the ...

Community Connections

Ooooooo...SO EXCITED! I just got a call from a friend/neighbor(thank you P) who was telling me about this community co-op...she asked me if I had heard of it..and much to her surprise I hadn't! Tell me more.....so I went to the website Bountiful Baskets . This is so awesome, all contributions made by purchasing a basket of vegies/fruits goes entirely to purchasing the goods by the volunteers(run by 100% volunteers) to give to the community who are involved in the co-op. It was explained to me that a basket is about the size of a small round laundry basket you can find at Wal-mart for a contibution of $15.00-$25.00(each basket depending on whether you opt to have organic or not) plus there are other choices on the order page for extras if you like. This Co-op is run all over the U.S. To find out more go to the website and check out where the locations are by state and it is as easy as registering on the site and placing your order. There is more about how much it costs etc on the p...

Musical Christmas Light show from The Clark Family

Image
When we were back in Missouri this last visit we toured some Christmas lights and the folks took us to the Clark Family Christmas Light Show. Which in description is nothing I have ever seen before it was fantastic. It was a show of lights dancing to an array of music of Christmas. All of which happened in Kelso, Mo. not a very big town but fun none the less! Cars line up for 2 miles to see this show...all tuned into FM 89.7 and the brothers spend all year to set this display up for all to enjoy. And yes, donations are welcome which go all go to St. Jude's Children's Hospital!!! Take a gander if you get a chance it is fantastic.... http://www.iluvlocalplaces.com/Christmas_Light_Show_HU1C.html
