Chicken Coop Update and More

We are getting closer to ordering chixs!! Yay!!
Yesterday, we worked on the coop some more...got the front covered....

Thinking today we will have the doors constructed and placed. What you don't see (forgot to take pic) is the hen boxes have been lined with straw and cedar chips. The ladder has been constructed and placed. Added a running board on the bottom boxes for the chickies to better choose their box! I know, they will all fight over one box even though they have a ton to pick from! Crazy chickies!

Mountain Man got the garden tilled yesterday. Oh, the smell of spring time dirt! Love it!

Now it is ready for planting!
We were offered a deal that we could not turn down.....blackberry and raspberry plants for FREE!!
Thanks Mom and Dad!!

These will go down in the bottom of the garden.....I think they will be alright there!
Then I have to get the roses planted that Mountain Man got me for the kids spot in the pines. Will have to wrap them with chicken wire or something so the deer and squirrels don't eat them again!

And on the homestead we have disconnected DIRECTV. Too many commercials that we pay for! Ridiculous! So the old post that is in view of everything out my kitchen window will be transformed or removed today.

We were given an old school bell....might go right there! Instant hole, add a post! Waste not, want not!

Well as you can see I have a lot to get accomplished so off I go!
